Section 1.04.040 Distribution of code.

In conformity with the laws of the state of Iowa, it is hereby declared that:
    1. An official copy of the municipal code, as adopted, including a certificate by the city clerk as to its adoption and effective date, is on file in the office of the city clerk;
    2. Copies of said code, being a loose-leaf code, shall be kept available at the clerk's office for public inspection and for sale at cost to the public.
    3. All printed copies of this code except such as shall be reserved by the city attorney for use in the legal department shall be deposited with the city clerk.  He shall deliver one copy hereof to the mayor, one copy to each council member, one copy to the city manager, one copy to each of the judges of the associate district court, two copies to the city library, one copy to the law library  of the district court and to such other persons as the city attorney may direct.
    4. The city clerk shall sell printed copies of said code at such price as the city council shall fix.  The mayor and the city attorney shall have the power to reciprocate courtesies of other cities by presenting to each a copy of this code without cost.  (Ord. 87/T-5300)
