Unless the context requires other interpretations the following words and terms are defined for the purpose of this code as follows:

    1. "City" means city of Sioux City.

    2. "State" means state of Iowa.

    3. "City council" means city council of the city of Sioux City.

    4. "Code" means the Municipal Code of Sioux City and all amendments thereto.

    5. "Person" means a natural person, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns, and also includes a firm, partnership or corporation, its or their successors or assigns, or the agent of any of the aforesaid.
