Section 10.20.035 Meter box parking facility - definition, installation, maintenance, and regulation.

    1. "Meter box parking facility" is defined as a City parking lot where users pay, in advance, a parking fee to cover the time the user's vehicle shall occupy a parking space by depositing the parking fee in a meter box located on or near the lot, with a sign on or near the lot displaying language to the effect that the right of such vehicle to occupy a parking space shall cease after the time paid for has expired and that a failure to pay the appropriate parking fee or remove the vehicle after the time paid for has expired shall subject the owner, operator, possessor or manager of such a vehicle to criminal penalty.
    2. The City Manager, or his designee, shall be responsible for the installation, regulation and maintenance of all meter box parking facilities designated and placed in accordance with this chapter.
    3. "Suburban meter box parking facility" is defined as a meter box parking facility located in an area outside that area bounded by Interstate 29 on the south, Tenth Street on the north, Floyd Boulevard on the east, and Grandview Boulevard (Pearl Street) on the west.  (Ord. 93/U-1425; 89/T-8012)
