Chapter 10.20 PARKING AND PARKING METERS
Section 10.20.050 Limitation of parking time within parking spaces.
1. The city manager, or his designee, is authorized to determine and designate
the maximum
allowable parking time for all parking spaces and metered parking spaces on city streets and
within city parking lots. When signs or parking meters are erected giving notice thereof, no
person shall park a vehicle for a period of time longer than designated by said sign or parking
meter on any day except Sundays and holidays. This provision shall apply where parking spaces
are metered in accordance with subsection 4 of Section 10.20.020 or where a time limit sign is
displayed within one hundred feet of every parking space, or where time limit signs are placed at
no more than a two hundred-foot interval. Maximum parking time limits established under this
section shall be enforced daily between the hours of eight a.m. and six p.m., except for Sundays
and holidays unless the sign clearly indicates different hours or days of applicability.
2. Every additional period of parking beyond the maximum period of parking time
allowed
shall constitute a separate offense. (Ord. 88/T-6623)
