Chapter 10.30 MISCELLANEOUS CITY RULES OF THE ROAD
Section 10.30.120 Trucks, trailers and recreation type vehicles - parking restricted.
1. No person shall park any motor truck, truck tractor, road tractor, trailer
or semi-trailer with a licensed
weight in excess of five tons on the streets of the city of Sioux City for more than one hour, except
while
actively loading or unloading.
2. No person shall park a commercial truck or motor vehicle licensed in excess
of five tons or a trailer or
semi-trailer in any off-street public parking facility owned by the city.
3. No person shall park any recreation type vehicle or utility trailer on the
streets of the City of Sioux
City for a period of not more than twenty four (24) hours twice a month or twice within a 30 day time
period regardless of whether such trailer is attached to or detached from a motorized vehicle.
4. For the purpose of this section: Recreation type vehicles and trailers are
defined as, motor homes,
travel trailer, fifth-wheel travel trailer, campers, and camper trailers; and, utility trailers are
defined as
trailers used for the purpose of hauling boats, pontoons, wave runners, snow mobiles, motorcycles or
other
sport type vehicles, trailers used for the hauling of construction equipment or related materials, landscape
equipment or related materials, trailers used for the hauling of stock cars or other motor vehicles
or parts,
trailers used for hauling of livestock. (Ord. 2007-1016,
