Section 10.30.130 Time limit on parking.

    1. No vehicle shall be parked or remain at the same location upon any street, alley or public ground at any time for a period longer than twenty-four (24) hours, or in any municipal parking lot, except long term airport parking facilities, for a continuous period of more than twenty-four (24) hours unless specifically authorized by the city manager or his designee.  Vehicles must be moved at least thirty feet (30’) in distance during each twenty-four (24) hour period in order to avoid penalty under this section.
    2. For purposes of this section, it shall be unlawful and a violation of the provisions of this chapter for any owner or driver to permit a vehicle to remain in violation of this chapter.  Every four (4) hours that a vehicle remains in violation after an initial notice of fine has been attached to the vehicle shall constitute a separate and distinct offense punishable as provided in section 1.04.100 of this code.
    3. In addition to the penalty listed in subsection 2 above, any vehicle which remains upon any street, alley or public ground for a continuous period of more than forty-eight (48) hours without authorization and without being moved shall be deemed an abandoned vehicle and shall be towed without further notice.
