Section 10.30.210 Overweight and overlength trucks.

1. A motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles entering the corporate limits of Sioux City, Iowa, from Nebraska or South Dakota or a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles leaving the corporate limits of Sioux City, Iowa, and entering Nebraska or South Dakota may be operated upon the highways and streets of the city of Sioux City, Iowa, irrespective of the length and weight limitations imposed by the laws of the state of Iowa if the length and weight of the motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles is in conformity with the laws relating to the length and weight of motor vehicles effective in Nebraska or South Dakota.

2. Nothing contained herein shall be construed to permit a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles which are overweight or overlength under the laws of Nebraska or South Dakota operating under special permit issued by either state to operate on the streets and highways within the corporate limits of the city without a special permit from the state of Iowa.
