Section 10.30.290 Transporting alcoholic beverages or beer.

    No operator or passenger of a motor vehicle shall transport, nor shall the operator of a motor vehicle permit his or her passenger to transport, within the passenger compartment of the vehicle, any alcoholic beverage or beer upon the public streets or highways in any container other than the manufacturer's original container, with the manufacturer's seal unbroken; provided, however, that if the vehicle contains no trunk or storage compartment separate from the passenger compartment, and if the seal on the manufacturer's original container is broken, then the alcoholic beverage or beer may be so transported only if it is placed beyond the reach of the operator or any passenger properly seated in the vehicle.  (Ord. 91/T-10306)
