Section 10.30.320 Truck routes.

    1. Any freight-carrying vehicle entering or leaving the city shall travel only on the marked street or highway route, unless delivering or picking up merchandise.
    2. Vehicles carrying livestock inbound or outbound from the Sioux City Stockyards will remain on the marked highway route at all possible times.
    3. No transport unit carrying in excess of one thousand five hundred gallons of gasoline shall at any time leave a regularly established through highway within the city save and except such a transport unit having a net weight of not more than twenty-two thousand pounds and carrying not in excess of three thousand gallons of gasoline, may for the purpose of making delivery of such gasoline within a regularly established commercial district only in the city, leave such through highway, but only with and subject to prior notice to the chief of the fire department as to each and every such delivery to be made, and subject to the further condition that each such delivery be made over and upon a fixed course of travel, as, in each such delivery, is designated by the chief of the fire department subject to the further condition that no such delivery of more than one thousand five hundred gallons of gasoline shall at any time be permitted from any point along, upon, and immediately adjacent to a regularly established through highway other than between the hours of one a.m. and six a.m. on any day.  (Ord. 91/T-10306)
