1. When a vehicle has been taken into custody under the provisions of this chapter or under any provisions of the laws of the state of Iowa, the procedures as set out in state law for giving notice to the owner and all lienholders of abandoned vehicles shall be followed by the department.

    2. In addition, the notice shall state that an objection may be made and a hearing held pursuant to Section 10.82.110 unless an opportunity for such hearing was given prior to the impoundment.  (Ord. 84/T-3316; 84/T-2722).
