Chapter 12.10 UTILITY SERVICE BILLING REGULATIONS


Section 12.10.090 Discontinuation and resumption of service.

    1. When utility service is established for any customer, the schedule of rates for the utility services then in effect shall be imposed and shall continue in effect until changed or until the customer requests the director to discontinue service.  Upon receipt of a request to discontinue utility service the director will terminate utility services.  A final bill shall be determined to the date of termination of utility service.  Flat rate charges shall be pro-rated where appropriate.

    2. When notification to resume utility services is received from a customer, the director shall commence service on the requested date.  The fee for resumption of services shall be thirty-five dollars which shall be paid in advance.  Utility service charges shall resume on the date requested. Flat rate charges shall be pro-rated where appropriate.

     3. If utility services are terminated for nonpayment of the fees, the fee for resumption of services shall be forty dollars which shall be paid in advance. (Ord. 2002-0692; 98/U-6342; 94/U-1987)
