Chapter 12.16 STORM WATER MANAGEMENT
Section 12.16.180 Conveyance issues.
All storm water management practices shall be designed to convey storm water to allow for the maximum
removal of pollutants and reduction in flow velocities. This shall include, but not be limited to:
1. Utilize existing, natural drainage systems.
2. Protection of inlet and outfall structures.
3. Elimination of erosive flow velocities.
4. Providing underdrain systems, where applicable.
5. Providing sediment removal in the system (settling, filtration, inertial
systems, etc.).
The storm water design manual provides detailed guidance on the requirements
for conveyance for each
of the approved storm water management practices. (Ord. 2002-1015)
