Section 17.08.010 Permits.

Whenever any person desires to construct, reset, repair or reconstruct any curbing within the city, he shall, before proceeding with such work, obtain from the city engineer a permit to do so, and agree, in writing, filed with the city engineer, that he will in the construction, resetting, repairing or reconstruction of such curbing comply with the ordinances of the city and the specifications prepared therefor, and that the work shall be done under the direction and subject to the approval of the city engineer.  Permits shall be issued upon payment of a fee established by the city council.  A copy of the permit, together with the written agreement above referred to, shall be filed and preserved in the office of the city engineer.  All such permits shall state when the work is to be done.  Any person who shall commence curbing improvements without first having obtained a permit therefor shall pay double the permit fee.
