Section 17.16.040 Permits – Service connection fees.

  Any person, firm or corporation applying for a permit to excavate in the public right-of-way or public easement for the purpose of making sewer, water, storm sewer   or any other utility   service connection, or repair, or for any other purpose, shall pay to the city treasurer a fee as set by the city council before securing such permit.  However, when more than one cut or opening is made in the same city block in connection with a continuous project or job, only one permit per utility   shall be required for each half block.
    Any person who shall commence any work for which a permit is required without first having obtained a permit therefore shall pay double the permit fee.   (Ord. 2006-0836, 89/T-7553)
