Section 17.24.020 Penalty for violation of Section 17.24.010.

Any person who violates any of the provisions of Section 17.24.010 is guilty of a municipal infraction and shall be punished by a fine in accordance with the following schedule:

No person shall be charged with a violation of Section 17.24.010 unless said person has received two written notices by ordinary mail or by hand-delivery notifying the person they are in violation of said section. Mailed notices shall be sent to the owner of the property at the address as shown by records of the Woodbury County Auditor’s office. Hand delivered notices may be given to any adult person residing in the premises abutting the sidewalk and to the owner or manager of multi-family units. Hand-delivered notices may be given to any adult person employed on the premises of a commercial business abutting the sidewalks. Notices to a person shall carry over from year to year.
