Section 19.04.025 Citations Authorized.

The chief of the fire department or his designee and the chief of the bureau of fire prevention or his designee are designated municipal code enforcement officers for the limited purpose of enforcing the provisions of this title which are made their responsibility to enforce. They may issue a citation charging a violation of any provision in this municipal code for which it is their responsibility to enforce and no other. The issuance procedure shall be as required by the laws of the state of Iowa. This section shall not be interpreted so as to require the issuance of a citation. (Ord. 90/T-9352)
