Section 2.46.020 Appointment and qualifications.

The board shall be appointed by a majority vote of the city council. To be eligible to be appointed a member of the board, five appointees must be qualified resident electors of Sioux City, Iowa and four must be qualified resident electors from either Woodbury County, Iowa, Dakota County, Nebraska, or Union County, South Dakota. Before assuming the duties of the office, each board member shall file with the city clerk an oath for the faithful performance of the member's duties, and a disclosure of the member's ownership or control or prior ownership or control within the preceding two years of any interest, direct or indirect, in any property included or planned to be included in an urban renewal project.
