Chapter 2.46 SIOUX CITY ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD
Section 2.46.030 Term of Office.
The members of the board, when first appointed, shall, in the order of their appointment, hold terms
of
office as follows: three members shall be appointed for a three-year term, three members shall
be appointed
for two-year terms, and three members shall be appointed for one-year terms. All subsequent appointments
shall be made for three-year terms, except to fill vacancies. Vacancies shall be filled by the
Council for the
balance of the unexpired terms. A vacancy occurs when a member resigns, fails to qualify within
14 days,
dies, moves away from the City from which appointed, or has unexcused (as determined by the Board)
absences from three or more of the board meetings within any 12 month period. No person may serve
more
than two consecutive full terms on the board. Full terms begin on January 1st and end on December
31st.
However, members whose terms have expired shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed by
the
City Council. All members of the board shall serve without compensation for their services. (Ord.
