Chapter 2.46 SIOUX CITY ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BOARD


Section 2.46.060 Powers of the board.

    1. The board shall have the following duties:
        a. To make recommendations on a plan to enable Sioux City and the Siouxland area to meet State mandate reductions in solid waste.
        b. To make recommendations on an integrated solid waste management plan.
        c. To make recommendations on rates for environmental projects as requested by the council or city manager.
        d. To recommend a program for educating the community on environmental education issues.
        e. To make recommendations on environmental planning issues as requested by the council or city manager.
        f. To make recommendations regarding odor abatement issues.  
    2. Voting powers.
        a. On matters involving the Siouxland area, all members of the board shall have voting rights.
        b. On matters involving only the City of Sioux City, only members who are residents of Sioux City shall have the right to vote. (Ord.2004-0296; 92/U-267; 92/T-10705)
