Section 2.74.040 Organization of the commission.

As soon as possible after the appointment of the initial members, the commission shall organize for the transaction of business; elect a chair from its own; appoint a secretary; and adopt by-laws, policies and procedures consistent with chapter 15E, Code of Iowa, to govern the proceedings of the commission. Five members of the commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. All actions of the commission shall be either by resolution or motion and the affirmative vote of at least five members shall be necessary for the passage of either action. (Ord. 98/U-7284)
