Chapter 20.04 BUILDING CODE
Section 20.04.110 Residential building permit fees.
1. (Formerly Section 304, Uniform Building Code.) A fee for each building
permit shall be paid to the
building official as set forth herein.
2. Residential building permit fees schedule.
a. New single family through four-plex residence
Base permit fee (includes 10
inspections) $580
Plan review fee (Cost for first

b. New single family manufactured and modular.

c. New apartments (five units and up).

d. New accessory structures with utilities i.e. garage,

g. Addition/Remodel.

Note: All permits listed above include building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permit fees. Separate
additional permits for these trades will continue to be issued to separate trade contractors, but at
no
additional charges. Building permit fees will include all trade contractor fees on all permits
listed above.
h. Demolition. Base permit fee (includes 1 inspection) $85

sheds over 150 square feet area.

3. Additional inspection fee for above permits when required $55

5. Emergency. Except in emergency situations, as determined by the building
official, where work for
which a building permit is required by this code is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining said
permit,
the regular fees as specified in this code for such work shall be doubled. The payment of such
doubled fee
shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with the requirements of this code in the execution
of the
work nor from any other penalties prescribed therein.
6. Refund of fees. If, within sixty days of the date of issuance, the holder
of a building permit decides not
to build the structure described in said permit, he may, upon application to the building official,
be refunded
that portion of the building permit fee which is in excess of fifty-five dollars. The refund of
any fee of fifty-five dollars or less shall not be made.
7. No refund of plan review fees. If a building permit is not subsequently
taken out after approval of the
plan by the building official, there will be no refund of plan review fees.
8. Reinspection fee. Where an additional inspection is required due to
deficiencies found on a regular
inspection, the fee for each reinspection shall be fifty-five dollars. (Ord. 2004-0545; 90/T-9317)
