Section 20.05.035 Definitions.

When used in this chapter the following terms shall have the meanings herein ascribed to them as follows:

1. “ Dwelling” means a single family owner occupied structure used as a home or residence.

2. “ Dwelling unit” means a structure or the part of a structure that is used as a home, residence or sleeping place intended to be let to tenant.

3. “ Landlord” means the owner, lessor, or sublessor of a dwelling unit or the building of which it is a part which is intended to be let to a tenant.

4. “ Owner” means the owner or owners and the occupants of a dwelling as shown on the transfer books of the Woodbury County Auditor.

5. “ Tenant” means a person entitled under a rental agreement to occupy a dwelling unit to the exclusion of another. (Ord. 2001-0563)
