Chapter 20.05 HOUSING MAINTENANCE CODE
Section 20.05.225 Valid complaint fees.
1. In the event that a written complaint is received and a notice is issued
to the landlord for corrective
action of a valid municipal housing code violation, the landlord shall be responsible for the costs
of
inspection, supervision and serving of notices. The following fees are applicable:
$50.00 complaint investigation fee (1st inspection).
$50.00 reinspection fee for each subsequent inspection
performed.
$25.00 administrative fee to cover actual costs of serving
of notice and clerical work.
2. The landlord will be issued written statements for the investigation, inspection
and administrative fee
charges, and will be required to pay them within 30 days of the statement date without interest or penalty.
3. No landlord shall be charged for the costs of inspection, supervision and
serving of notices when it has
been determined that no prior notification of a valid municipal code violation has been given to a landlord
as a result of violations caused by deliberate or negligent acts of a tenant or a member of the tenant
s
