Section 20.05.280 Authority.

1. The manager or inspector is authorized, directed and empowered to inspect any and all dwellings and dwelling units within the city, to placard and order removed or repaired, any unsafe dwelling, for the purpose of prevention of fire and the preservation of safety of life and property.

2. The manager or inspector will notify, in writing, the landlord, tenant, or other responsible party, of inspection results and directions for compliance with the code. If all necessary changes or repairs are not completed within specified time limits contained in the written notice, the manager has the authority to utilize any other enforcement method authorized by this code to achieve compliance.
