Section 20.08.050 Administration.

    1. The rules of this chapter are administered and enforced by the inspectors and the manager of inspection services division, a division of the community development department.
    2. The manager of inspection services reports to the director of the community development department.
    3. The director of the community development department reports to the city manager and the city manager reports to the city council.
    4. In addition to city staff, the city council also appoints citizens to various boards to assist in administering, interpreting, and periodically updating these rules.
    5. The title of  “manager of inspection services”  (herein “manager” ) as used in this chapter is used interchangeably and synonymously with the title of  “building official” as used in the various model codes and standards adopted by reference in other sections of this code.
