Section 20.14.170 Permits for plumbing work.

No plumbing work as defined in this chapter shall be done unless an application has been submitted by a licensed plumbing contractor before work is commenced. A permit shall be issued if the plumbing work, as proposed in the application for a permit, meets the requirements of this code. If sketches, plans and specifications are requested by the manager or his authorized representative, they must meet the requirements of this chapter. A separate plumbing permit shall be obtained for each building or portion thereof not completed under one contract.

Every plumbing permit issued under provisions of this chapter shall expire by limitation and become null and void if the work authorized by such permit is not commenced within one hundred twenty days from the issuance of such permit, or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after work is commenced for a period of one hundred twenty days.
