Section 20.14.253 Joint connection materials.

All polyethylene connections must be made with mechanical compression fittings equipped with elastomeric gaskets to provide the pressure seal and with suitable insert for internal support. Heat fusion, flared and insert clamp joints are not acceptable. Curb stops must be low turning torque type, full open valves as approved by the environmental services department. (Ord. 2000-9734)
