Section 20.14.255 Water pressure requirements.

    1. Inadequate water pressure.
        (a) Pressure of water delivered to any plumbing fixture is considered inadequate if less than 15 pounds per square inch.
        (b) All places of human habitation or occupancy must be provided with a minimum of 15 pounds per square inch delivered to all plumbing fixtures by supplied force of the water service, a tank, a pump or other approved means.
    2. Excessive water pressure.
        (a) Pressure of water delivered to any building or plumbing fixture is considered excessive if greater than 80 pounds per square inch.
        (b) All places of human habitation or occupancy must be provided with approved pressure regulators, strainers, integral bypasses installed in accord with the code.  (Ord. 2000-9734)
