Chapter 20.14 PLUMBING CODE
Section 20.14.395 Master plumber’s license.
1. New license application.
a. The applicant must possess a current city journeymans
license.
b. The records furnished inspection services must indicate
that the applicant has held a journeymans
license, received by examination in a governmental jurisdiction acceptable to the city for a minimum
of four
preceding years.
c. The applicant must submit a letter, on company letterhead
and signed by a holder of a plumbing
contractors license, stating that the applicant has been employed a minimum of five preceding
years by a
plumbing contractor as a journeyman plumber and that, during that period, the applicant has worked in
a
supervisory capacity a minimum of two years.
d. The board may approve any applicant who demonstrates
any equivalent amount of training,
experience and education, in lieu of a., b. and c. above.
e. The applicant must pay the required license application
fee.
f. The applicant must pay the required examination fee
to the council-approved testing agency.
g. The applicant must successfully pass a written examination
administered by the council-approved
testing agency.
h. The applicant must pay the required license fee.
2. License renewal.
a. Licenses granted by the city under this chapter prior
to the effective date of the ordinance codified in
this chapter shall be reissued without examination or qualification as the same or similar license as
specified
in this chapter.
3. Possession of license.
a. Current license must be carried by licensee at all
