Section 20.28.100 Applicability to new buildings and additions.

    1. Prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy, the plumbing or mechanical inspector will obtain a complete inventory of steam, hot water and ammonia plants, including the number and horsepower of each. This information will be provided to the plans examiner who will record it with other relevant project data, such as occupant load, on the certificate of occupancy.
    2. Prior to issuance of a certificate of occupancy, the building owner or tenant/occupant will provide, in writing, the names of those persons/employees who will be responsible for operating the boiler plants at the time operation commences. The list will also indicate the license class held by each employee, when licensure is required due to the horsepower and pressure rating of the equipment. Requirements for licensure of such persons will be based upon the information provided by the inspector’s equipment inventory.  (Ord. 2000-9646; 90/T-9327)
