Stationary and refrigeration engineer’ s licenses are issued by the City of Sioux City in the following categories or classes:

    1. First Class Stationary Engineer. This license authorizes the holder to operate any steam or hot water power plant of 201 or more horsepower in any building.

    2. Second Class Stationary Engineer. This license authorizes the holder to operate any steam or hot water power plant of 101 to 200 horsepower in any building.

    3. Third Class Stationary Engineer. This license authorizes the holder to operate any steam or hot water power plant of 51 to 100 horsepower in any building.

    4. Refrigeration Engineer. This license authorizes the holder to operate any ammonia refrigeration plant in any building.  (Ord. 2000-9646)
