Section 20.36.060 Conditions for use.

    No tank constructed after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter shall be used for the storage or keeping of nonflammable liquids as defined herein unless the following requirements have been met and completed:
    1. A six-inch by eight-inch metal placard shall be securely fastened to each tank indicating the date of construction, diameter and height of the tank, its maximum volume and weight capacities and maximum height of fill for each substance.
    2. A certificate from a recognized testing firm or laboratory or reputable insurance company authorized to do business in the state of Iowa shall be submitted to the building inspection department, the certificate stating that the tank or tanks have been inspected by the use of a magnaflux test, dye test, or other test of equal accuracy and that said test revealed that said tank or tanks are structurally safe for the storage of nonflammable liquids as defined herein.  (Ord.
