Section 20.40.040 Permit.

No building may be moved without issuance of a permit obtained by a licensed building moving contractor.  However, if the state has given the building mover an annual permit allowing the moving of buildings that are fourteen feet six inches high, that mover will not need a city permit to move buildings of that height.  A mover must obtain the permit at least one week prior to the proposed moving date.  All franchisees of the city may request an extension greater than one week if such extra time is reasonably necessary to insure a safe move.  The mover must get separate permits from the state and county to move the structure over a state or county roadway. (Ord. 85/T-3873).
