All houses and buildings shall be numbered in conformity with the provisions contained in this chapter.  All numbers shall be numerical or written, a minimum of three  inches in height, of a color contrasting the color of the house or building to which they are attached, visible from the public way, and shall be posted on the part of each house or building which faces the public way for which said house or building is legally addressed. All commercial buildings shall also be numbered at the rear of such buildings when, in the opinion of the fire chief and director of inspections, it would facilitate their identification by police, fire and rescue personnel.  (Ord. 82/T-720).
