Section 25.71.030 Principal permitted uses.

1. All retail shopping establishments as defined in chapter 25.04 of this title except greenhouses and lawn and garden supply stores.

2. All consumer service establishments as defined in chapter 25.04 of this title except self service automatic dry cleaning establishments, self service automatic laundry establishments, and taxidermist shops.

3. Child care centers.

4. Recreation facilities and amusement facilities, private or open to the public, including health clubs, fraternal lodges, residential and recreational clubs, courts for tennis, handball and similar games, swimming facilities, billiard parlors, bowling alleys, amusement arcades, indoor theaters and music halls.

5. Buildings designed and intended for both business and residential use, provided that the ground floor, other than entrance and lobby space is devoted to nonresidential uses.

6. Medical and dental clinics.

7. All business goods and services establishments as defined in chapter 25.04 of this title except building supply operations, contractors offices, frozen food lockers, janitorial service and supply establishments.

8. Administrative offices, corporate offices, and governmental or general office buildings.

9. Public and quasi-public buildings, including those used for public service, administrative, educational, religious, or cultural purposes and eleemosynary institutions.

10. Universities, colleges, professional schools, technical schools, and vocational schools.

11. Hotels.

12. Restaurants serving alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, taverns, bars, and cocktail lounges including those with dancing or live entertainment.

13. Second hand stores.

14. Fabrication of metal, wood, ceramic or other art and craft objects or fabrication of architectural antique replacements; bakeries; candy, coffee or ice cream stores, and woodworking stores, when conducted solely to produce items for retail sale on premises or as custom orders for delivery.
