Section 25.74.218 Authority.

Except as expressly limited by other provisions of this subchapter, the city council may, after receiving a recommendation from the planning and zoning commission, in approving a -C zone, change, alter or modify those provisions of this title inconsistent with the standards for approval set forth in Section 25.74.220. Notwithstanding the foregoing authorization, no such change, alteration, variation or modification shall be approved unless the city council shall find that such change, alteration, variance or modification will not, if permitted, violate the general purpose, goals and objectives of this title and the general plan, and will, if permitted, result in a development providing compensating amenities to the city and contributing to the overall advancement of the purposes for which planned developments may be established pursuant to this chapter.
