Section 25.74.310 Purpose.

This zone is intended primarily as an industrial zone, but allows for flexibility in the use of and the development of land when conditions warrant. Such flexibility may include the designed mixing of industrial, commercial or residential uses on a horizontal or vertical plane; provide a vehicle for specifying the range of uses and space limits of the existing zoning classifications so that the mixing of groups of uses is appropriate, and compatible with surrounding land use and neighborhood amenities; provide flexibility in site planning to allow for coordinated landscaping or the provision of parking and loading; and for the creation of business and industrial parks.
