Section 25.96.010 Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to prevent or alleviate the congestion of the public streets and to promote the safety and welfare of the public by establishing minimum requirements for the off-street parking, loading, and unloading of motor vehicles in accordance with the use to which property is put. Because the central business district must necessarily be oriented to pedestrian use, the off-street parking provisions of this chapter do not apply within the BGM zone.
