Chapter 3.06 HOTEL-MOTEL TAX
Section 3.06.080 Election required.
This chapter is passed and adopted subject to the approval thereof by the electors of the city of Sioux
City,
Iowa. Upon passage of the ordinance codified in this chapter by the city council, the said council
shall
provide for the calling of an election in said city for the purpose of submitting the question of the
approval
of such ordinance, and the tax imposed therein, to the electors of said city, and if approved by a majority
of
said electors of the city voting at said election, then such ordinance shall be published as provided
by law.
Upon such publication and not until then shall the provisions of this chapter take effect. (Ord.
