Chapter 3.24 HIGHLAND PARK URBAN RENEWAL TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT

Section 3.24.010 Definitions.

For purposes of this Ordinance, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

    1.    "Highland Park Urban Renewal Project Area" shall consist of all of the areas located within that portion of the City of Sioux City within the boundaries described as follows:

    Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of the railroad right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad in Section 14, Township 89, North, Range 48, West of the Fifth Prin-cipal Meridian and the north line of Military Road; thence easterly along the north line of Military Road to the point of intersection with the east line of Hale Street extended north; thence south along the east line of Hale Street, extended, to the point of intersection with the north edge of the Highland Park plat; thence east along the north edge of the Highland Park plat and its extension to the east to the point of intersection with the east line of Berry Street, extended north; thence south along the extension of the east line and the east line of Berry Street to point of intersection with the north line of W. Edmunds Avenue; thence easterly along the north line of W. Edmunds Avenue to the point of intersection with the east line of Blair Street; thence south along the east line of Blair Street to the point of intersection with the north line of W. Sixth Street; thence east along the north line of W. Sixth Street to the point of intersection with the east line of Leonard Street; thence south along the east line of Leonard Street to the point of intersection with the south line of W. Fourth Street; thence west along the south line of W. Fourth Street to the point of intersection with west line of the southeast quarter northeast quarter of Section 25, Township 89, North, Range 48, West of the Fifth Principal Meridian; thence south along said east line and the extension of said line to the point of intersection with the centerline of the main channel of the Missouri River; thence westerly along the centerline of the main channel of the Missouri River to a point directly south and opposite the mouth of the Big Sioux River; thence westerly and northerly along the centerline of the main channel of the Big Sioux River to the point of intersection with the north boundary of Riverside Park extended both east and west; thence east along the north boundary of Riverside Park extended to the centerline of the railroad right-of-way of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad in Section 14, Township 89, North, Range 48, West of the Fifth Principal Meridian;  thence northerly along said railroad right-of-way to the point of beginning.
