Chapter 4.36 SIGN REGULATIONS
Section 4.36.090 On-premises advertising signs located in the AG zone.
1. Signs Allowed.
a. Signs not requiring a permit (4.36.050);
b. On-premises advertising signs. (4.36.020(0-2).
2. Sign Types Allowed.
a. Wall signs and one freestanding sign
per street frontage unless otherwise provided for
herein.
3. Sign Area Allowed.
a. See on-premises advertising sign
table, Section 4.36.240.
b. Cumulative sign area:
Home occupation/occupant
sign ................................... 1 square foot
Child care and
boarding house ...................................... 6 square feet
Multifamily
............................................................... 15 square feet
Schools, churches,
public and semi-public uses ............ 30 square feet
Office and commercial
uses ....................................... 50 square feet
c. Freestanding signs for office and
commercial uses shall not exceed thirty-two square feet.
4. Height Restrictions.
a. Freestanding signs shall not exceed
a height of ten feet.
b. Wall signs shall not extend beyond
the roofline of the building to which the sign is
mounted.
5. Setbacks.
a. All signs are subject to the building
setback requirements of the zone in which located
unless otherwise provided.
b. Freestanding signs must be set back
at least twenty-five feet from interior side or rear lot
lines when abutting a lot used as a residence.
6. Additional Regulations.
a. Signs may be illuminated but shall
not flash.
b. Signs shall not have moving, rotating
or otherwise animated parts.
c. Signs shall not be located in, upon
or over any public right-of-way unless said portion of
public right-of-way has first been vacated and proper authorization through:
(1) Acquisition
of title, or
(2) Acquisition
of an easement, or
(3) An encroachment
permit under Chapter 17.28 of the municipal code has first been
obtained. Encroachment permit for signs are limited to wall signs as defined in Section 4.36.020.
