1. Every secondhand dealer shall keep a record in the English language of each transaction on secondhand goods which shall include:

        a. Name and address of seller;

        b. Complete and accurate description of all goods purchased;

        c. Age or apparent age of seller;

        d. Price paid;

        e. Buyer's name and address; and

        f.     Purchase price.

    2. Said record as well as all secondhand goods purchased and still in the possession of the secondhand dealer, shall at all reasonable times be open to inspection by any police officer of the city.  Records shall be maintained by the secondhand dealer for a period of twenty-four months from the date of purchase.  (Ord. 94/U-2470)
