Chapter 4.48 PAWNBROKERS AND DEALERS IN PRECIOUS METALS OR PRECIOUS GEMS

Section 4.48.060 Action to recover fee.

When any person engages in business as a pawnbroker or dealer in precious metals or precious gems without paying the fee provided for and imposed in this chapter, any person having knowledge thereof, shall notify the legal department.  It shall be the duty of the city attorney or his assistants, when they are informed that any person is engaged in business as a pawnbroker or dealer in precious metals or precious gems without paying the fee, to bring suit to recover the same in the name of the city.  (Ord. 98/U-6342; S-43360, 1981)
