Section 4.64.220 Driver’ s requirements for taxicab and trolley bus operation.

    1. No person shall drive a vehicle for hire on the streets of the city for the purpose of carrying passengers for hire from one part of the city to another part of the city without a valid taxicab driver's permit issued as hereinafter provided.  This subsection does not apply to trolley bus operators.
    2. No person, copartnership, association or corporation holding a vehicle-for-hire license under this chapter shall permit any person to drive a vehicle for hire upon the streets of the city for the purpose of carrying passengers for hire from one part of the city to another part of the city when such person does not have a valid taxicab driver's permit issued as hereinafter provided.
    3. No person shall drive a trolley bus on the streets of the city for the purpose of carrying passengers from one part of the city to another without a valid commercial driver’ s license with a passenger endorsement.
    4. No person, copartnership, association or corporation holding a vehicle-for-hire license under this chapter shall permit any person to drive a trolley bus upon the streets of the city for the purpose of carrying passengers from one part of the city to another part of the city when such person does not have a valid commercial driver’ s license with a passenger endorsement issued as hereinafter provided.
