Section 4.64.280 Conduct of driver.

The driver of any vehicle for hire shall remain upon the driver's seat or inside his vehicle or stand beside his vehicle at all times while such vehicle is standing upon the public stands, but nothing in this section shall prohibit such driver from leaving his position in the vehicle for such time as may be necessary to assist the passengers into or out of this vehicle for hire, nor from leaving the vehicle for such length of time as may be necessary for him to use the telephone in connection with the operation of said vehicle.  Loitering or standing in the lobbies or entrances of buildings or stores is prohibited.  (Ord.
