Chapter 4.71 CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE
Section 4.71.120 Audio/Video system.
Upon request and after approval of this Ordinance, the Franchisee shall provide to the City a cash grant
of
$100,000, which sum shall be expended by the City for the acquisition and maintenance of an audio/video
system to be operated within the council chambers of the City. The Franchisee shall, at its own expense,
make available to the City the consultation needed to assist the City in the procurement of appropriate
equipment for such purpose. The contributions of the Franchisee to fulfill this requirement shall
not
constitute a Franchise Fee, but will fall under one of the exemptions under §542 of the Cable Act,
and may
be treated as an “ external cost” under FCC rules and regulations. (Ord. 99-7781, S-36880,
