Section 4.72.090 Alarm permit suspension appeals.

    1. The city manager will hear appeals taken from suspensions pursuant to this chapter or decisions of the chief of police pertaining to the reinstatement of a permit following a suspension.
    2. All appeals shall be filed with the city manager by the alarm system user permittee, in writing, within ten days of the date of the notice of suspension and shall specify the grounds of such appeal.
    3. Within seven days of the receipt of an appeal, the city manager shall fix the time, which shall not be less than five, nor more than twenty days thereafter, and the place for hearing the appeal and shall notify the parties in writing of the time and place so fixed.
    4. Upon the hearing of appeals pursuant to this chapter, the city manager may affirm, modify, or  reverse any decision of the chief of police upon its merits pertaining to such matters for which appeals are permitted under this chapter.  The decision of the city manager shall be final.  (Ord. 92/U-268, 83/T-2235)
