Section 4.76.080 White Mold Removal Monitoring.

If, at any time during the composting process, aspergillus fumigatus, a white mold, forms on the composting material, it shall be immediately removed from the windrow or pile and disposed of in a licensed landfill or incinerator built to commercial specifications. If incinerated, a flammable liquid with no greater volatility than Class II flammable liquid shall be added to the compost material prior to incineration to insure complete combustion and destruction of the fungus. No additional city permit for incineration shall be required. (87/T-5290)
