Section 5.20.036 Yard waste containers.

All yard waste as defined in Section 5.20.020-12 which is to be removed by the city in accordance with Section 5.20.080 shall be deposited in the following types of acceptable containers:

1. A 90 gallon refuse container as provided by the city or the city’s contractor.

2. A 35 gallon capacity biodegradable two-ply paper bag, wet strength, Kraft or equivalent with an appropriate yard waste tag.

3. A standard metal or plastic garbage can not exceed 35 gallons and not weighing over 65 pounds with an appropriate yard waste tag.

4. Tree limbs and branches not larger than two inches in diameter and tied in bundles less than four feet long and 1.5 feet in diameter. Bundles must be tied with materials which are biodegradable and capable of being composted.

5. Christmas trees sawed in less than four foot lengths. (Ord. 2004-0856; 2002-0360; 94/U-2559, 91/T-9596)
