Section 5.20.140 Removal of garbage.

    Any person, firm or corporation owning, keeping or operating any hotel, restaurant, meat or produce market within the city, shall remove all accumulated garbage or offal at least once in every twenty-four hours, and no such person, firm or corporation shall permit any garbage, swill or offal to collect and remain at or about their premises or in any public street or alley within the city for a period of more than twenty-four hours at any one time.
    Provided that from the first of November to the first of April of each year such period of removal may be extended to once every forty-eight hours.  (Ord. S-8136, 1966)
